Last Film Mix
Today was my last day mixing at Shepperton before I start my new job (more on which soon when it’s official). It was nice to go out on something good (Toy Story 3D in Icelandic).

NIN 2.0
Last night we saw Nine Inch Nails play in London, probably for the last time. It was quite an emotional experience (and an awesome gig). We’ve seen NIN five times since 1994; it’s become a bit of a tradition. But I’m not sad. I’m excited to see what Trent Reznor does next. Nine Inch Nails has been the most persistent musical and creative inspiration to me for 20 years. I’ve grown up with it, and watched TR grow up with it too. Understandably, younger fans are not sure how to take the new, less secretive Trent and his decision to put NIN The Rock Band on hiatus. For me, the unveiling of Trent as a Real Person has been hugely enriching to the NIN fan experience. It’s probably because I’m 35 and much more interested in Trent the Grown Up and his artistic energy, than wanting a voice for my twenty-something growing pains and relationship strifes. So, Trent, thanks for some of the most memorable nights of my life, and good luck with the next creative endeavors, whether it’s on the web, on the TV, or maybe even having children!

How to Dance to Electronic Music

We are teaching our 1 year old son these moves, starting with Bounce the Ball, and Milk the Cow. He goes crazy when we do the Chernobyl Child.

My Shed
One of my friends says that a man’s studio is the modern-day equivalent of a shed: a place to get away from the family. In my case, the studio is actually in the shed.

The Sherbourne Identity

I think I’ve finally got this blogging thing sussed. The column on the right is my Friend Feed stream, which updates automatically with my tweets, Google Reader shares, Last FM favourites, and Flickr photos. This means that even when I don’t update the blog there’ll be some activity nearly every day.

The column on the left is a normal Tumblr blog, which I’ll use for more intetesting pictures and when I have a bit more to say.

Cheers.
